Here are some of her tips on how to get festival ready!

What are your festival staples?

There are a whole bunch of things! But my essentials are usually a backpack/ bum-bag with my phone and wallet, disinfectant gel (those festival toilets, yuck!), a cool pair of sunnies and cards from quiz games for when I run out of stuff to talk about with new festival friends…Oh, and a colourful jacket or sweater tied around my waist to throw over my outfit if it gets too cold and some water for when it gets too hot.

What are your top 3 festival tips?

Something that has a big impact on my festival experience is how good I feel. Not too hot, not too cold, so the right clothes (and cold water) is a must!

Who are you looking forward to seeing most this year?

I'd love to see MØ, The Minds of 99 and José Gonzales!

What are you festival wardrobe staples?

A. All kinds of dresses – easy to wear, easy to style, just add great shoes and awesome accessories. Oh, long sleeved cardis and/or jackets are also essential for the chilly summer nights.

Where is the best place to get ice-cream in the city?

I actually haven't had ice-cream in Aarhus, but I heard that the organic froyo at Frost & Fnug is amazing!

What is your favourite festival memory/story?

My first time at a festival was when I was 16 and I went alone (I have no idea why my parents let me). I stayed in my own little camp consisting of my one tent and met up with two sweet friends everyday, who stayed at a restricted camping area. We created our own little band and made all these weird songs about what we were doing and people we met. It was so much fun!

What do you dance to?

MØ! She always gets me on the dance-floor, no matter what! I love the attitude in her music it gives me so much confidence to strut my weird moves on the dance-floor. And “Lean On” with Major Lazer and DJ Snake always gets me going crazy!

What are you most looking forward to at this festival?

For Northside, the food is always fantastic! The cafés and restaurants in Aarhus (where Northside is held) have booths at the festival and they sell some seriously yummy food – vegetarian and vegan, too!

What/ who is the best act you’ve seen at a festival?

I got to see Mew (about six years ago!) who I thought I'd never have the opportunity to experience. I cried tears of joy throughout the entire concert, screamed at the top of my lungs and sang along like there was no tomorrow.
