    Introducing our first denim collection designed with the circular principles of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Jeans Redesign project. We've chosen three of your all-time fave fits — the high waist wide leg Yoko, straight leg Monokomi, ankle length tapered leg Taiki — and a classic denim jacket.

    Following the guidelines in collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in designing for circularity this capsule is:

    Key design features:

    ♡ A more easily recyclable mix of 20% post-consumer waste cotton and 80% cotton in conversion to organic.*

    ♡ Dyeing technique with natural indigo to minimize water, energy and chemical consumption.

    * In-conversion cotton is grown by farmers converting to organic farming. During the 3-year conversion period the farmers are following the requirements for organic cotton, meaning no artificial pesticides or fertilizers or genetically modified organisms (GMO) are used.

    How to care for your denim garments:


    • • Turn your denim garments inside out to save them from colour-fade.
    • • Cooler wash = less energy consumption. We advise washing your denim at max 30 degrees.
    • • For smaller stains, try to spot clean as soon as possible, to avoid those stains settling­ into the fabric.
    • • Tumble dryers and drying cabinets may be convenient, but they use a lot of energy. Use a clothesline or a drying rack. Remember to reshape (stretch) them a bit first!
    • • Airing in between washes refreshes your clothes and helps you cut down on washes.


    By cutting down on unnecessary laundry cycles, you can easily reduce the size of your garment’s environmental footprint. Not to mention save your clothes from the wear and tear of a repetitive machine cycle, making them look their best longer.

    Monki jeans drop designed for circularity

    This special denim drop designed with the circular principles of the Jeans Redesign project includes three of your favourite Monki jeans fits (plus a classic jacket!) and they all come in a classic denim blue wash. Will you choose the cropped leg Taiki, 70s-inspired wide leg Yoko or straight leg Monokomi? They feature bar tacks instead of traditional rivets, a laser printed logo instead of classic Monki logo patch, and aluminium buttons that require no electroplating. Traditional polyester thread is replaced with EcoVero thread which is a mix of recycled polyester and more sustainably sourced cotton. The pocket bags are crafted from 100% organic cotton instead of a cotton and polyester mix, making the garments 100% cellulosic and more easily recyclable.
