    Why do we use your personal data?

    We use personal data you provide to us to create and manage your Monki Membership account and to give you all the granted benefits, rewards, and personalized experience. The Monki Membership is as further described in the Terms & Conditions

    We process your personal data to keep your membership account up-to-date and always current. By doing so we will be able to provide you with your shopping history, details about your order and your status details as a member.

    Furthermore, we will use your personal data to serve you with personalized information, offers, promotions, and recommendations. As a member you might also get access to invitations for upcoming events, competitions, and customer surveys through your Membership account.  

     

    How do we use your personal data?

    We use no more data than necessary for providing you with all the benefits that comes with the membership. This means that we only will use personal data obtained directly from you when you signed-up for it. 

    To make the membership even more relevant to you we personalize the content before we display it based on what we know (or perceive we know) about your interests and preferences. Personalization comes through analyzing and predicting aspects concerning your interests, preferences, behaviour by making use of a combination of data based on your profile data and shopping history. We might also use your web and click history to make the predictions more accurate.

    We use service e-mail communication to notify you of important information such as changes in the Terms & Conditions, changes related to your membership account, change of passwords but also, where applicable, sending notifications to your Membership account or Monki community account. 

    When we communicate promotions and offers via e-mail, we do that in accordance with our specific section Ads & Promotions of this Privacy Notice.

     

    Who has access to your personal data?

    We may share your personal data within the H&M Group whenever necessary to fulfil the intended processing purpose. For the same reason, personal data is also shared with suppliers carrying out certain tasks on our behalf. Monki is always fully responsible for its suppliers. 

    Except as explicitly stated herein, we never pass on, sell or swap your data to any third parties.

     

    What is the legal ground to process your personal data?

    The processing of your personal data to create and manage your Membership account and to provide you with the personalised services of the Monki Membership is necessary to fulfil the Monki Membership contract. 

    The use of your personal data to email you offers, promotions and special invites to sales and events is based on your consent.

    For any other purpose referred to herein, we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest as a business.

     

    How long do we keep your data?

    We keep and continue to process your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations, at the latest until the Monki Membership is terminated.  

    You have the right to terminate your membership at any time by requesting to delete your membership account with help of Customer Service. If you choose to do so, your membership will cease to exist, and your personal data will be deleted. 

    We will keep your personal data for a longer period of time if there are any legal requirements or if there is an ongoing dispute.

     

    Monki Community

    Why do we use your personal data?

    We will use personal data you provide to us to create and manage your community profile in order for you to get the full experience within the Monki community. Being part of the community means that you have the possibility to earn badges and collect sparkles, for this reason we need to process your personal data to provide you with all the benefits that comes with being part of the community. 

    As part of the community, you have the possibility to connect and interact with other Community members. The interaction with other community members can happen through several ways, such as comment other members OOTD ("Outfit Of The Day"), answering questions, rate new products etc. These type of activities within the community will be visible to everyone (including your profile) so make sure that you never disclose any sensitive information about yourself or others. However, if you use the chat function where you can chat directly with another member, the chat will stay private and not be visible to other members, than the one(s) in the chat. 

    To make sure that the Community is a safe place, we may use your personal data to prevent the misuse of the services in form having inappropriate comments deleted or by blocking IP-addresses of users that is not acting according our Terms and Conditions for the Monki membership and Community.

    How do we use your personal data?

    When you join the community by creating a nickname in your Monki member account settings we process the personal data you provided to us to enable your community account.

    To deliver the Community functionalities as promised, we need to use your generated data within the Community. We do so, by using your activity in order to calculate the sparkles, badges and other functionalities within the community. 

    We use no more data than necessary for providing you with access to all the benefits that comes with the community. This means that we only will use personal data generated by you.

    We may share your personal data within the H&M Group whenever necessary to fulfil the intended processing purpose. For the same reason, personal data is also shared with suppliers carrying out services mentioned above on our behalf. Monki is always fully responsible for its suppliers. 

    What is the legal ground to process your personal data?

    The processing of your personal data to manage your Monki Community account and to provide you the full service of the community is based on the Membership Terms and Conditions. You'll always find the latest version of the Terms and Conditions here.

    To make sure our community stays a safe place we may also need to process your personal data for security and safety purposes. This processing is based on our legitimate interest, unless there is a specific legal obligation. 

    How long do we save your data?

    We keep and continue to process your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations, at the latest until the Monki Membership is terminated or you choose to delete your Monki Community profile. You have the right to terminate your profile at any time, if you choose to do so your Monki Community profile will cease to exist, and all your personal data will be deleted. However, the answers provided by you within the community, will remain but to an anonymized user, which means that they will no longer be able to be traced back to you. 

    We will keep your personal data for a longer period of time if there are any legal requirements or if there is an ongoing dispute.

    Your right to object to processing of your data:
