#best summer memory:
Going surfing with my friends at a summer camp in Molliets, France. It’s where I met my boyfriend and I just loved the vibe over there.
Trendy, relaxed, laid back and sophisticated, but always with a cheeky touch.
When it’s raining or cloudy I usually just go to the museum district in Amsterdam to check out the newest exhibitions. I have this on-going love affair with the Rijksmuseum, which has some of the most exquisite paintings on this planet in its collection.
Pllek (Amsterdam Noord)
There are so many cute places to have lunch and coffee in Amsterdam, but one of my favorites is definitely Pllek. Located in the north of Amsterdam, you have to catch a ferry to go there. I adore how you can relax on couches near the water or have dinner at these cute picnic tables.
Summer in Amsterdam means going to festivals. There are so many cool parties to go to where you can dance all day (and sometimes all night) with your bare feet in the grass or sand. This look was shot at my favourite festival: Thuishaven. This festival is held every Sunday when the weather allows it, and this is for sure the spot where you can find me on Sundays.
Sometimes you just want to relax and chill out a bit. Vondelpark in Amsterdam is the place to be for a morning run, a walk or to have a picnic or drinks with your friends! I love those summers where my friends and I bring out the barbecue and just chill out in the grass.
Amsterdam can be quite unexpected sometimes. This carnival on the middle of Dam Square is an example of exactly that. It’s not around all year long, but only during summertime. You can go on the Ferris wheel, eat cotton candy and even go shopping afterwards! Plus, the Bijenkorf, Kalverstraat and Nine streets, are really close by ;)
