    Unstereotype Alliance

    Unstereotype alliance is an industry-led initiative convened by UN Women in 2017 to end the harmful gender stereotyping, often perpetuated through communications. The Alliance focuses on empowering people in their diversity (gender identity, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, ability, sexuality, language, religion, education, body size, and more). It seeks to eradicate harmful stereotypes to help create an equal world. We joined at the beginning of 2021 in a three-year partnership as part of the H&M Group.




    Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) Foundation

    We've teamed up with the Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) Foundation to support them in a global petition to raise awareness around BDD and the effect of altered imagery in themedia. Founded in 2006 and relaunched as a charity 2013, the BDD Foundation is the only charity in the world exclusively dedicated to educating the public on the condition and alleviating the suffering caused by BDD. It aims to raise awareness and provide information and support to those affected by this under-diagnosed, distressing and disabling condition. 




    Polyester

    Polyester is a self-published, intersectional feminist fashion and culture publication aiming to bridge the gap of URL cyberfeminism with the IRL world. We started collaborating with them in 2020 on a podcast series titled The Skin You’re In. Each episode addressed a topic central to young people today including discussions on Black Lives Matter, challenging societal beauty standards, gender inequality and much more. Featuring inspirational guests from across the globe to contribute their valued knowledge, experience and/or opinions on these topics. We later started collaborating with them on the Queer Creative Fund to give visibility to and celebrate queer creatives. Together we want to keep the conversation going on matters that we believe need to be spoken about, and then spoken about some more.




    Plan International

    An organisation that works for children's rights and equality for girls. Most notable is their Girls Get Equal initiative, it’s a five-year initiative calling for girls’ increased power, voice and leadership at the decision-making table whilst also promoting the actions of all young people for gender equality.




    The Cup

    They are a non-profit organisation with a mission to educate and empower girls living in challenging environments in Kenya. By supporting them with life skills, training and access to menstrual cups. Here’s what their CEO and Founder, Camilla Wirseen, has to say about the collaboration, “It is the right of all women to be able to handle their periods in a safe and hygienic way. Together with Monki and Lunette, The Cup Foundation will be able to make a real difference and help even more girls living in poverty to stay in school.”




    Lunette

    Lunette is a Finnish, female-run company that has developed the menstrual cup. A user-friendly, safe, reusable and ecological alternative to pads and tampons. Here’s what their CEO and Founder, Heli Kurjanen, has to say, “Partnering with a company like Monki is something we have dreamed of for years. Monki shares our mission to have honest and inspiring conversations about menstruation so that we can motivate period positivity and change the world one cup at a time.”




    RFSL

    In 2018 we became LGBTQIA+ certified by RFSL, the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights. Founded in 1950, the non-profit organization is internationally recognized, and works on projects to support LGBTQIA+ rights across the world. RFSL’s goal is that LGBTQI people should have the same rights, possibilities and obligations as everybody else in society. Employees at our Head Office invested in educational workshops facilitated by RFSL Utbildning in order to learn more about norms and the impact they have on working conditions and health of the LGBTQIA+ people. In addition, together with RFSL  we have an ongoing action plan how to create a better more inclusive workplace for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. You can read more about RFSL and the work they do here.




    Mental Health Europe (MHE)

    Mental Health Europe is an independent network that works to advocate for the rights of people living with mental health illnesses, and to build positive awareness to end the stigma surrounding mental health. MHE works alongside those that use and work in mental services to bring their voices forward to policy makers, with the mission to make the necessary change toward more mental health friendly policies.




    RFSU

    We teamed up with RFSU (Swedish Association for Sexuality Education) on a limited-edition capsule of tees and tote-bags. Featuring two mission statements – ‘This body got rights’ and ‘Handle with love & respect’, we think everyone has the right to own their body, to know their rights and to wear them with pride, no matter the situation.




    Remondis

    A system that makes it possible to collect used clothes at any Monki store and give them a new life through re-use or recycling. The Remondis vision is for a circular economy in the textile industry, for pre-loved clothing to continuously circulate and be used in the manufacturing of new products.     Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC)

    The Sustainable Apparel Coalition works towards making the apparel, footwear and textile industry more sustainable. They developed The Higg index that allows us to get an overview of the sustainability performance of a product or a company.




    Circular fashion

    circular.fashion is a sustainable innovation agency creating product and system innovation for a circular economy in fashion and textiles. The collaboration with MONKI dates back several years, through circular design training with the objective to spread circular design and material knowledge across the teams, that lead to innovative circular products launched.




    Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)

    The Better Cotton Initiative is a multi-party initiative that works towards making global cotton production better for the people who produce it and for the environment it grows in, as well as making it better for the sector´s future.




    EIM by Jeanologia

    The world leader when it comes to improving the textile production, by making it more sustainable and efficient. They developed the EIM tool (Environmental Impact Measuring tool), the first software specifically for the garment finishing industry created to help workers measure and develop more sustainable processes.




    Clevercare

    Clevercare labels provide care instructions that are designed to help customers properly care for their clothing, use less water and energy, and to spend less money by caring for fashion the clever way.




    The GFA (Global Fashion Agenda)

    The GFA works towards changing the way the global fashion industry produces fashion and how we consume it. With a vision to make sustainability fashion’s first priority. Through thought leadership, forums and advocacy GFA fights for policy change, and for measures that reinforce and incentivise sustainability targets.
