Feminists do wear pink - and Monki

Monki believes in the power of sisterhood. The main goal for us has always been to provide female talent with a platform to speak up about topics close to their hearts. Because of this, we have decided to launch the book Feminists Don’t Wear Pink (and Other Lies), curated by London-based writer and activist Scarlett Curtis, in selected Monki stores and online.

“Empowering women is the driving force behind everything we do at Monki and has been from the beginning” says Jennie Dahlin Hansson, Managing Director at Monki.

“Being able to offer a book to our community that champions those very values of female empowerment, sisterhood and support feels great.”

Feminists Don’t Wear Pink (and Other Lies) is a collection of essays curated by writer and activist Scarlett Curtis. With writings by Adwoa Aboah, Jameela Jamil and Monki collaborator Elyse Fox, the book explores what it means to be a woman today from every point of view.

“I am so excited to be working with Monki. The goal of the book was always to share the feminist message with as many people as possible and with Monki, we have found the perfect partner to do so. Their ongoing efforts towards lifting up the voices of those who are so often marginalised is a beautiful and refreshing light and one we need many more of” says Scarlett Curtis.
