Monki × RFSU

We teamed up with RFSU (Swedish Association for Sexuality Education) on a limited-edition capsule of tees and tote-bags. Featuring two mission statements – ‘This body got rights’ and ‘Handle with love & respect’, we think everyone has the right to own their body, to know their rights and to wear them with pride, no matter the situation.

What are body rights?

Founded in 1933, RFSU define body rights as everyone’s right to decide over their body, sexuality and identity. Every individual should have the freedom to love who they want, make decisions about their own body and be able to express themselves and their sexuality freely.

“In our experience, change becomes more powerful when many engage together. In a time when body rights are being discussed around the world, this collaboration with Monki helps raise awareness of body rights on a global scale,” says Hans Linde, President of RFSU. “We’re excited to join Monki customers everywhere and fight for body rights together.”

Three situations. Three people owning it.

For the launch of this collaboration, we aim to empower people everywhere to own their body rights. In public places, some can find it difficult to fully commit to loving themselves and their body. So, we filmed three videos that show the best of people owning it; exuding confidence and letting their tees and totes do the talking.

A very special thanks to Clara, Caroline and Dakota.

The train platform
Never feel afraid to take up space that is rightfully yours. You should never feel uncomfortable for simply being you.

The kiss
You have the right to decide, always. Handle others with love and respect, and take all the time you need to decide in romantic situations. Your body is yours.

The public escalator
Allow your confidence to shine in public. Make any escalator your catwalk and strut like nobody’s watching. Who knows, you might inspire someone else to do the same.

Save the date: 08/05
You can shop the collection online and in selected Monki stores worldwide, from the 8th of May 2018.

All products in this co-lab are made with 100% organic cotton.

Monki will donate money to RFSU in support of their ongoing work.
