JEANIOUS HACKS

#7 The spicy slit

Things a little too straight and narrow when it comes to the cuff of your jeans? Give ‘em a little slit to add a little flare, literally. Alex from our denim department showed us how-to for this oh so easy, oh so spicy Jeanious Hack.

You will need

  • Measuring tape
  • Chalk
  • Sharp scissors
  • Jeans : We have chosen Kimomo X-long – works best on a straight leg or skinny leg jeans.

Step 1: Mark them

Measure and make a chalk mark on the outside seam of your jeans. We went up 15 cm. But go as high or low as you like!

Step 2: Cut them

Carefully cut the stitching along the seam and stop at your chalk mark.

Step 3: Stitch them

Add a tack stitch to prevent the slit creeping up higher. Pro tip: choose a thread the same colour as the stitching on your jeans or mix things up and choose a poppy colour for a little spicy detail.

Step 4: Wear them

Your spicy slit is ready to show of your fave boots, shoes or feet (yours obs.) Jeanious!
