Be empowering

Salute sisterhood! › Be empowering

We want to fast forward women empowerment movements all around the world.

Female empowerment has been a part of our brand mission since Monki was founded in 2006. So, when the World Bank says “…we  [the world ] will not reach gender equality until 2120 if we do not speed up ALL existing strategies and plans.” We're like: WHOA! Hold up! This is not OK. Which is why the United Nations Sustainability Development Goal, SDG 5, is super important to us.

So, how can we fast-forward women empowerment?

  • Break stigmas

From working towards de-stigmatising periods by launching a menstrual cup collaboration with Lunette and The Cup Foundation, to spreading body positivity in our #nofilter campaigns, we will continue to break stigmas through our collections, campaigns and our everyday.

  • Through partnerships

Making a difference doesn’t happen overnight. And we can't do it alone. That's why we work with some incredible partners like Plan International and The Cup. Read more about our Partnerships

  • Through our people

From ensuring fair living wages and better working conditions in our supplier's factories to our casting policies, we want to make sure we empower each and every one that works with and for Monki.

  • Through our community

We love our Monki community, it is at the heart of everything we do. From sharing #monkistyle via Instagram to in-store community initiatives, we know it's so important to work together on this. To support our sisters and inspire each other, every day.
