We started Monki Mozik in 2011 as a way to raise the voices of female musicians and DJs.

We want to empower young women. We want to give them a voice and so back in 2011, we started Monki Mozik as a way to support and lift female musicians and DJs in our stores and communities.

How it works:

• We invite female artists/DJs/collectives/initiatives to create a playlist for us that is played globally in all our stores for 4-6 weeks during the weekends.
• We promote the artist and playlist (top 20 out of their 150 songs) through our social media channels and our Spotify.
• We choose and invite female artists/DJs/collectives/initiatives to play at our store openings and other events.
